Testing at Sebring ahead of this car's debut in Porsche Sprint Challenge. The series mandates a medium compound front tire and a hard compound rear which makes the car very prone to oversteer. A couple laps in a Cayman S, Falken RT660 tires, track alignment, brake pads and fluid. What an impressive car, while the suspension is a touch soft for hard track work, making transitions at highspeed along with the lack of any downforce, a little exciting at times. Running a few laps in the Black Wolf Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup at VIR. This is a fun video to highlight the speed differential between quick track day cars and a factory race car. Ambient temp around 100 degrees, would expect lap times in the high 40s without traffic. GPS speed was lagging behind or randomly inaccurate. Unknown cause, assuming the heat.

This was the final restart for the BRM/APC enduro inside HSR and The Mitty. A car blew their engine going into turn 1, we sat on pit lane for approximately 15 minutes while the oil spill was cleaned up. A lap from practice at Road Atlanta in International GT. Run on a couple heat cycle old Pirelli hards. @Racing_Hive secures a 3rd and a 1st on Saturday, and together we win the endurance race on Sunday. Really fun car and track combo! The last turn is really exciting now with that new sealant patch right as you turn in!!

Nice fast lap of 2:10.61, especially considering the traffic. Were you on the Yokohama's? The best I ran was a 2:12.5 in qualifying at the PSC Sebring event this year.

How is this running similar times to a GT4 Clubsport? Aftermarket tune?
Not quite, I've run 54s in the Clubsports.
Just went to the Glenn for my first time in the 718 GT4 Clubsport and managed a 1:59 and was feeling proud and then you see someone rip a 1:41 in these things and realize that I was moving at a snails pace Great driving partner

I enjoy your videos. I can't explain how they came up in my feed and when they were shot but a lot of them have me going back to you driving the Ginetta and realizing that THAT is a great car!
Increible racing/driving, you're the real thing man, more power to you! Overtaking at that pace looks scary in certain parts, so I think I'll stick to my racing rig😂

That entrance speed into the Climbing Esses is mind blowing. That car looks so planted through there.
Suggest you focus on your driving line ahead rather than wasting time & getting distracted in waving at everyone you pass. It’s totally pointless as the driver behind cannot see you & you can always thank them personally after the session is over.

What's really crazy is the difference between a track only car and a road car. The best time set by a road car (as far as I know) is a 2.34 by a Mclaren senna. This is 40 seconds faster than that. That might be one of the craziest things ever as have driven one of them before. Some road cars are truly special, but nothing will ever compare to these track beasts. I also think the cup car is cheaper than the Senna, so maybe a better purchase if you plan to only really go to track days.
That must be a different layout - the GT3 Cup and Senna are roughly the same times around other circuits, e.g. Spa Francorchamps (a good mixed circuit), Senna is about 2:24, 992 Cup is about 2:23s.
The Senna's time was for the Grand Course layout, which is ~1 mile longer than this Full Course layout.
VIR is the worst circuit on the fcking earth , i hate that circuit, a real nightmare, with full of hard turns, and no space to surpass any car bc of that fucking small circuit to surpass

Sometimes Chin has 15 Cup cars and Clubsports in their Red group. Definitely need to be aware.

Porsche themselves recommend an engine rebuild every 100 hours of on track time. I'd say you could go a bit further than that.

the VIR main track without any infield just seems kinda boring. I hate to say it, I still love this track but this route is just too much straight. It's like 3 corners per side on a 3-something mile course.
Find a topographic map. The curves at the top left corner are a large descent.
Maybe it's not the right trackday for cup cars.... maybe...

had a multi-class test on a 992 Cup with TCRs, VW Beetles, Mitjet, Mini Coopers etc. on track last month. Kinda had the same great feeling of being twice as fast as everyone else 😆😆😆

Incredible, very nicely done. A preson can not even imagine what it takes to concentrate to do that consistently. For spring breaks, I took my son to speed vegas to drive packages of cars. We drove Gt2 rs and the Evo Challenge school. He didn't want to go somewhere and drink with his buddies. He graduated with an EE, We had our first track day yesterday in a 1SS 1LE, the grift.
Man those club sports are capable cars. Chewing up at least one Cup and a handful of RS 's? And just about inch perfect lap after lap. Above my pay grade! Enjoyed.
I had the volume up on my ear buds waaaaaaaay too loud for the top of 6th gear whine. Smart use of the early up shift to manage the rear end in the first set of esses. That car looks like a ball to drive. Hilarious watching you lap everyone a couple times at least. 🤣

I would rather see your steering input from the front facing camera. The rear view should have been placed on the bottom right or something.
Funny you say that, the team finally got with Porsche to get into the ECU to get all the sensors out to the data system and everything has been reordered like how you mentioned.
But that maintenance schedule tho.... Ouch.
